The Vanuatu High Commission was honoured to witness on Tuesday 25th of November 2025 the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Marketfresh Place Australia and the Government of Vanuatu, through the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, to officially open the organic export corridor to Australia.
The High Commission was involved in the initial discussions under the former leadership of Hon. Jhonny Koanapo, who previously served as Minister of Internal Affairs and is now the Minister of Finance and Economic Management, regarding several Commercial Diplomacy missions to Australia, particularly to Melbourne, in 2024.
This milestone signifies our strong and growing relations with Australia and establishes a clear pathway for organic fresh produce from Vanuatu to reach Australian markets starting in February 2026.
